Yikes! A week or so ago, we received a less-than-satisfied tweet from one of our end users who works within the EditLive! rich text editor.
”@Ephox Please make your product work better with the newest version of Java! I want to gouge my eyes out with a spork dealing w/ it.”
Gosh. Nobody likes sporks.
And, we certainly don’t want anyone gouging their eyes out with one.
So, we thought we’d address the Java issue here on our blog.
From what we can tell, this particular end user works for a large university and she cannot control her environment. Unfortunately, this issue can only be fixed by their IT folks updating EditLive! within their application.
Therefore, the best thing we could tell her is that we’ve updated all supported versions of EditLive! to address the recent changes in Java, but that she would need to ask her IT application support team to make the software update.
