Clean, compliant HTML

Take new or existing content from Word and paste to any HTML document.  EditLive!'s Word import filter ensures clean, standards compliant XHTML with four import options:

  • Preserve styles  - Import Word styles as standards compliant CSS in the document, retain structure but remove custom tags.  This can be done in either of the following ways:
    • Inline - Styles are stored as inline styles within the document
    • Embedded - Styles are stored in an embedded style sheet in the document header
  • Clean HTML  Retain document structure (e.g. headings) but remove Word styles and fonts and custom tags
  • Plain text - Remove all Word markup and styles with text only import.

The availability of these options can be be set by administrators.
