Accessibility Checking As-You-Type with Inline Reporting
New accessibility check as-you-type
functionality makes compliance with web accessibility standards as easy as spell checking a
document. Business users receive immediate, visual feedback when they create
non-compliant content. The inline accessibility reporting functionality works with
accessibility check as-you-type enabling business users to get information on compliance
issues in the content without even opening a dialog. In addition, accessibility
configuration and reporting options enable content administrators to customize EditLive!'s
accessibility checking functionality to match the compliance requirements of their
organization.
Table Accessibility Checking
EditLive! 6.7 takes the pain out of creating
accessible tables. Creating accessible tables is one of the most complex areas of
accessibility compliance. EditLive! removes that complexity and guarantees that content
contributors are able to make any table accessible.
Broken Hyperlink Checker
Prevent the publication of broken links to your
web site with the new Broken Hyperlink Report. This report will check all the
hyperlinks in a document and verify that they link to live web pages, whether the links are
internal or external to your site.
Open Word Documents in EditLive!
EditLive! has always been recognized as the industry leader in the import of content from Microsoft® Word. Now with EditLive! 6.7 users can import Word documents into EditLive! directly, without having to copy and paste content. This is currently only available on Microsoft® Windows operating systems.
Track Changes
Collaborate more
effectively with others. Speed up document reviews with track changes. Review,
accept and reject changes within EditLive!. This is much quicker than using verbal, e-mail
based or visual document comparisons. This feature goes beyond comparing document
versions. Users can now accept or reject discrete changes within a document instead of
being forced to choose between various versions of a document.
Advanced Image Editor
The inline image editing tool crops, resizes, re-samples, and rotates
images with the click of a button, in addition to creating special effects like drop shadow,
reflection and rounded corners. Images inserted from the local file system are automatically
resized to a web appropriate size of 800 x 600 pixels and re-sampled to ensure a smaller file
size.
Auto-correct
Automatically correct spelling errors. Customization options also allow corporate branding and terms to be added to ensure compliance.
Thesaurus
A simple right click
gives you a list of alternatives to the word you clicked on. Users can access the thesaurus
dialog box from the right click context menu or the main Tools menu.
Equation Editor
Create
mathematical and scientific equations.
The output is pure, standards-compliant mathematical markup language, MathML. The
equation editor is completely integrated in EditLive!.
